- Crash Loops: When standard microcontrollers freeze, they stop regulating. Your rack cooks while the screen still says 88°F.

Quad-Redundant Protection
Predictive AI Diagnostics
The system logs your heaters' power usage dynamically. Every 7 days, OphidianAI analyzes this data to spot efficiency losses, warning you of failing ceramic bulbs before they break.
Software Failsafe
If any temperature sensor reads 2°C above the high alarm threshold, the Master Safety Relay instantly cuts power to all zones. The system auto-recovers after 5 minutes of safe readings and fires an instant Telegram alert.
Intelligent Limp Mode
If a probe disconnects or fails, the zone doesn't just shut off — Heater 1 falls back to a learned duty cycle and Heater 2 switches to the ambient sensor. Your animals stay warm. The OLED displays "LIMP" until the sensor reconnects.
Hardware Failsafe
A physical thermal cutoff switch controls the safety relay — a completely independent, software-free last resort that operates even if the microcontroller itself were to fail.

The Animal
Give each thermostat its animal: species, name or ID, sex, date of birth and genetics or morphs. A year of birth alone is enough — the age is worked out for you. The profile shows in the WebApp and on the thermostat's own page.
At a Glance
Current weight, and how long it's been since the last feed, shed and poop — worked out automatically from your log, so there's nothing extra to keep up to date.
